This is for applicants who are currently in high school and in a dual enrollment program at their local community college, and how they can apply to the Architectural Studies major if they are applying as First Year applicant to UCLA, but will be sophomore/junior standing in terms of college credits.

If you have college credits, but have not yet graduated from high school, you have to apply to UCLA as a First Year applicant, which means you can’t apply directly to Architectural Studies. You will have to apply through a different major, and then you can apply as a Program Change candidate when you arrive at UCLA. Click here for information about what major you can pick when you are applying as a First Year to UCLA.

You might be able to apply to Architectural Studies in the Fall Quarter of your first year at UCLA. If you would like to do this, you can reach out to the UCLA Arts Student Services office and they can help you plan. When you register for your classes at UCLA, you will be given contact information for our Student Services office.
